A Crisp Warm Day
Not a Cloud in the Sky
December 04, 2025
It was a crisp yet warm day. The air was fresh and cold, but the sky was free of clouds so the sun shone brightly. Gallup had a growing smile on his face.
Gallup was walking to the dentist. He was greeted by the blue-green eyed receptionist with the warm smile.
“I’ve already checked you in, you can go right ahead to your room” she said helpfully and gleefully.
The room smelt clean and cozy. Non-threatening painting hung on the textured walls.
Then the dental hygienists came barging in, nearly out of breath!
“ARE YOU GALLUP!?? WHAT ARE WE DOING?!? HUH?!?!”
She grabbed the X-ray machine and threw the lead blanket right at his groin.
“STAY STILL!”
Gallup was in a great deal of groin pain.
“OKAY! NOW A FUN ONE OF THE BRAIN!!”
Before Gallup could say Wut? She snapped some X-rays of his skull.
She bound out of the room in a hurry.
Gallup…in a great deal of groin pain and concerned about his brain just being x-rayed, politely waited for the Dentist.
Then another dental hygienist came in the room calmly and asked “Hi, I’m Debbie your dental hygienist. Its so nice to see you again. Sorry the wait was so long, we had some person running around here earlier pretending to be a hygienist.”
Gallup’s eyes glazed over…
Oh no, he thought, not again.
